Mentorship

Supporting growth, confidence, and opportunity across geospatial and STEM communities.

My Mentorship Philosophy

I believe mentorship is a cycle of learning, encouragement, and shared growth. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have benefitted deeply from people who guided me and I carry that forward by supporting students and emerging professionals in geomatics, GIS, Earth observation, and STEM leadership.

My approach to mentorship is simple: create a safe and encouraging space, help others see possibilities they did not know existed, and share practical knowledge that makes their journey easier.

Areas I Support

Guidance that blends academic, professional, and personal growth.

Academic and Research Guidance

Choosing courses, exploring remote sensing, geodesy, mapping, or spatial data projects, and finding pathways that fit your goals.

Career and Professional Development

Building confidence in GIS and geospatial work, shaping resumes and portfolios, preparing for interviews, and navigating early career decisions.

Community and Leadership

Supporting young leaders, especially international students, to grow through service, collaboration, and storytelling.

Geospatial and STEM Inspiration

Through writing, conference coverage, and community initiatives, I help make geospatial knowledge accessible, relatable, and welcoming.
